Colorful Costa Rica by Teresa Nickeson of Maquoketa. This veteran presenter and her son, Colin Nickeson, spent 10 days last July exploring Costa Rica. Spectacular sights included rain forests, volcanoes, national parks, waterfalls, hot spring pools and beaches. They saw the most beautiful birds and flowers and many colorful and interesting animals, and they went spelunking, hiking, zip lining, and even volunteered at an animal rescue center. The country was easy to navigate, and the people were some of the nicest in the world. Nickeson highly recommends a visit to this country for anyone looking for beautiful nature, adventure, diversity or just a wonderful climate in which to relax.
